On October 12, I gave my first presentation at a large conference when I presented at the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas! I presented on part of a class project completed in collaboration with Lenovo, which examined the presentation of information on an ecommerce website.
It was a little nerve-wracking to attend such a large conference and know I would be presenting, but the actual presentation was not as scary as I built it up to be, and I met a lot of interesting and friendly people at the conference! I also had the chance to attend a networking lunch that was a lot of fun, and learned about some really fascinating research others are doing. And I even participated in a research project while I was there!
Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and I’m already looking forward to attending the next annual meeting next year!
